Savannakhet
Savannakhet is in Southern Laos and is located alongside the Mekong River. With an estimated population of 120,000 it is the second largest city of Laos.
That Ing Hang Stupa is one of the most revered in the country of Laos. Each year in December, many Buddhists travel to this holy site for the annual ‘Boun Pha’ ceremony.
Historically this has been a transit point and trading post. This is Laos’ most populous region, a fertile, productive agricultural area. The area is more temperate and fertile than the rest of Laos
That Ing Hang temple is one of the most important and revered Buddhist monuments in all of Laos.
