Kawthaung is at the southern tip of Myanmar, on the border with Thailand.

The Andaman Club Resort Hotel is Thahtay Kyun Island. About half an hour trip by boat from Kawthaung or Ranong. Famous for gambling it is the only international gambling place on the Andaman side.

The small port, border crossing and market town is in the south of Myanmar. A jumping-off point for boating and diving excursions to the Myeik Archipelago.

Kawthaung is a town with many cultures. With Indian, Muslim and Chinese influences amongst the majority Bamar and Thai population.
