The local village on Koh Rong has had major funds donated by the foundation at Song Saa and they are doing some excellent outreach work with them, especially the children.

The Song Saa Foundation

The Song Saa Foundation is a non-profit organisation, established in 2013. Its aim to protect the habitats of the Koh Rong Archipelago while improving the welfare of its communities.

The Foundation continues conservation work the founders began in 2006, when they first came to Koh Ouen. Since then they’ve launched a broad range of conservation and humanitarian initiatives, going well beyond the borders of the archipelago.

From establishing the kingdom’s first marine reserve, they have now grown to become a preeminent coastal marine NGO. Helping improve the lives of local people and promoting the protection of the environment wherever the work takes them.

Getting There

Sihanoukville Airport is served by direct flights from Siem Reap, Cambodia. Similarly from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, thus making this pristine and private paradise remarkably accessible.
