Beaches of Cambodia
Beaches in Cambodia
Cambodia is home to a large number of beautiful coastal destinations along the Gulf of Thailand. Slowly, the country’s idyllic islands and shining white sands are becoming known to the world’s beach lovers. Some of the best untouched beaches in Southeast Asia are in Cambodia. With pink sunsets and crystal clear waters The Beaches of Cambodia awaits you.
Sihanouville
Sihanoukville is a province of Cambodia surrounded on three sides by the Bay of Thailand.
Many of the beaches have grass-hut restaurants and bars.
The beaches to the west of the city from north to south are Victory Beach, Lamherkay Beach, Koh Pos Beach, Independence Beach, Sokha Beach, Serendipity Beach, Ochheuteal Beach and Otres Beach.
From most beaches, you can take trips to the islands, and rent boats for snorkeling and fishing.
Koh Rong & Koh Rong Samloem
The stunning Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem islands offer very similar vacations – Breathtaking scenery, crystal clear ocean waters, white sandy beaches, and a tropical climate environment. The islands of both Koh Rong or Koh Rong Samloem are still relatively unknown so they are a break from the over development found in Thailand. The islands are two hours from Silhanoukville where white sands, turquoise waters and uninhabited beaches await you.
Koh Kong
The island is south of Koh Kong City, and the South-Eastern tip of Thailand. You can reach the island by boat from the mainland in 40 – 120 minutes. The island is only accessible from October to May. There are seven beaches, all of them along the western coast.
Kep
Kep has recently become established as a Khmer holiday spot and is slowly being rediscovered by travelers. The charm of this coastal resort lies in its peacefulness, its National Park, and its seafood. So warm, so relaxing, yet food stalls only yards away, cafes and restaurants across the road. A lovely safe family friendly atmosphere. The sunset over the sea is spectacular. Its so safe to swim, read, dance, paddle, make sand castles.
Song Saa Island
Song Saa offers ethical luxury serenity and a deep connection with the environment. It is a remote private island resort off the coast of Cambodia, offering ultra-luxurious villas built into the jungle or perched on stilts over the sea. Rates include all meals and most drinks. The resort opened in 2012 in the secluded Koh Rong archipelago. The environment is pristine, with untouched stretches of golden sands circled above by colourful hornbills, and around by clear calm waters teeming with tropical fish.
